AFRICA | A 15-year-old Nigerian boy named Afolabi Olumide Ayodeji has made history by breaking a decade-old record in the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination.
His remarkable performance in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) has set a new standard, as no candidate has reached such a high score since the introduction of the Computer-Based Test (CBT) system in 2013.
Olumide, a student of Icons Comprehensive College in Ondo, Nigeria, scored an outstanding 370 out of 400 — the highest score recorded in over ten years of JAMB’s CBT history.
His result has drawn nationwide attention, not only for its excellence but for the discipline, focus, and brilliance it reflects.
